Maura Dankert - CFCE and PC+ Coordinator Maura has lived in Bourne for 26 years with her husband and four children. Her passion for supporting children and families was sparked early on when she worked in child protective services and in residential settings. She sits on the Board of Directors for ConfiKids nonprofit and has volunteered for the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, Birthday Wishes, HAC on Cape Cod, and the Friends of the Bourne Food Pantry. Maura works as the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Bourne Public School. Maura enjoys kayaking, hiking, pickleball and ice cream!
Hengjia Liu (Andrea)- Early Childhood SpecialistMs. Andrea graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Master of Education degree. She resides in Bourne with her husband and son. Prior to joining the team of Bourne for Children, she worked as a Mandarin teacher for nine years and published her first two novels “Beijing to Boston”. After her son was born, she felt fortunate to stay home for three years with him while developing a strong passion for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that promote young children’s cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Working as an early learner specialist, she is committed to collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and educators to ensure each child has the support they need to thrive. She believes every child is unique and is dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential during these critical early years! In her leisure time, Ms. Andrea enjoys traveling, reading, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends. |
Jayne - Early Childhood SpecialistMiss Jayne has done story times for Bourne For Children for 6 years!
Miss Jayne has taught young children from birth through age 6 for many years! Prior to working with Bourne for Children, Miss Jayne was the Director of a nursery school and a long time preschool teacher. Her passion has always been to help young children and their families grow and learn together. Miss Jayne lives in Falmouth with her husband, Tom. In her free time you will find her walking along the beach or riding her bike on the many bike paths on Cape Cod! On rainy days, she enjoys knitting, crocheting and reading! Liz Bennett - Early Childhood SpecialistMiss Liz is a married mother of two beautiful girls. She is proud to call Bourne, MA our home. Previously a preschool teacher, she is excited to begin a new chapter as and ELS for the PC+ home visiting program. Miss Liz studied Early Childhood Education at Fisher College and has many certifications in the field. This schooling, along with 10 years experience working with children 0-8 years, has prepared her with the tools she needs to succeed as an ELS.
Miss Liz enjoys spending time with my family, cooking, Sunday gatherings, coaching, watching sports, going to the gym, and, of course… music! She is an avid Beatles fan. and music has always been a major part of her life. She is excited to meet new faces, build relationships, and enrich young minds. She hopes to arm children with school readiness skills, while learning through play. Furthermore, enhance the relationship between parent and child; while showing parents fun activities/ learning tools! Children are the face of the future and deserve the very best head start. |
